Journal # 1- Color Red

Hello blind man, I know you would like me to describe to you the color red, well there is a problem and that is that I am not certain of what the color red is. I am also blind in a way, I can still see the world around me yet I can't see the colors like everyone else. My fresh shinning red is a grassy green to everyone, I am not sure if the red they telll me is a red I can describe. I will try my best as I am colorblind and what I describe to you might not be true. Red represents love to everyone as it is the favorite color to give in Valentines day and whenever you feel to express love to that special someone. Red is also a violent color as warzones get painted with the blood of soldiers and the innocent, for the cause of each side it is present whenever someone gets injured, the more you see of it the more you worry. When you think of an apple, of its three colors you imagine red first because it is when that apple is at it best, crisp and juicy waiting for you to bite. Feeling red is another story as it gleams just enough to catch your eye and feels smooth to the touch. To me the red I see is warm and cozy like a fire you seek when you can't feel your frozen hands. The red I see does not represent stop, it represents something that makes you laugh as I joke around when I confuse green with red or red with green because you know blind man I am also blind. Red represent strength as a solid color that stands above the others as a leader, it show the way and makes you feel safe. It is a color of love and war, crisp and jucy, smooth and warm, this is the color red how others see it and how I see it. My description may be a lie or theirs might be I can't be certain because I am colorblind.

Journal # 3 - Typing faster

In seventh grade I took a computer class where I learned how to type using all my fingers to increase my speed and with practice learn how to type without looking. At that time I was barely becoming a Pc gamer and my skills weren't that great, my fingers would get tired and my speed while hitting the keys was slow and inaccurate. After 1 semester pasted by I was alot faster at typing and I could do it without looking. As for my Pc gameplay performance, it went much better my response was faster than before, I was winning most of the fights and I was developing my own  hands "stances" for faster hitting of the right keys. Not only did my gaming become better my writing became better to, this falls under academic yet my essays where more complete and detailed having me score higher in them. This typing skill still helps me out now making my hand eye coordination better and more reliable, without having to learn this I believe that both my gaming and academic life would be somewhat more difficult.

Journal # 5 -1 million dollars

With 1 million dollars I would choose a program that would help poor families in Mexico so they could get food and have a house to live in. As many know the percentage of people that are poor in Mexico is of a great scale, affecting entire communities and families, especially the children. As they cannot get an education or have a proper meal living with an empty mind and stomach makes their lives short and miserable. Helping them would give them a chance at life to get themselves up from poverty. I would also invest in a program that investigates any time of cruel treatment to kids or people as I have heard of many cases where people are tortured like animals and they end up catching who ever is guilty but they don't receive their proper punishment or when they find out about the abuse it is too late. These types of organizations I believe are under funded so with that million dollars they could gain some more equipment or sources to get their jobs done. These two projects are prioritized because if they gain more success than what they have more lives will be saved and more lives will be improved.

Journal # 7- A Laptop in the past

If I had to bring a piece of technology into the past I would bring a computer(laptop) to the medieval times because back then everything was still simple. Rocks, steel, horses, arrows, swords mostly simple things, me bringing a laptop and showing what it can do would amaze people of the time making them easy to control. I would show them how in the distant future we are going to be able to communicate with anyone around the world with just a few clicks and movement of our fingers. I would tell them about the social networks such as twitter and facebook and how they keep us connected to our friends and family, and how it distracts us from doing our chores. I will also show them the interior of the laptop and try to explain to them how its different components such as the motherboard, core and graphics card make the machine run and do as you tell it to(with the mouse and keyboard). Showing them what we will be able to do in the future with computers might have the creation of the first computer happen much earlier, making computers much more efficient and advanced in our current time. Also this would mean that the scientific revolution could happen much earlier as people see how the laptop can do so much making them discover how does it all work.

Journal # 8 Related Quote

"Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. It takes a touch of genius -- and a lot of courage -- to move in the opposite direction."-Albert Einstein. I have always looked up to Einstein as I believe him and I could strike one long, funny, and interesting conversation with our out of place personalities and geniuses. For me I try to find other routes to achieve certain things, for example while my homework or  project may say to to something a certain way I either skip steps to make it easier by finding some other equation or I turn the project upside down doing something different yet still in line with what I am asked for. Going the opposite way is a thing I do often without noticing, in some cases it makes what I am doing harder but I keep on at it so when I do as everyone else it becomes even easier. Not only in my work do I go against the rules but in my appearance most of my friends have short hair and I am one of the only ones with long hair making me stand out from the group. Also I am colorblind so the way I look at the world is different from others, then again going in  the opposite direction. "It takes a touch of genius" to spice up peoples days, I always tend to make my friends laugh or we go into a topic that is pure seriousness making those boring 2 or 3 hours classes more entertaining, this is a task I am used to doing but it takes courage to bring up those topic or make a fool of yourself for a bit of entertaining. The days I am absent their lives turn normal, they now have to do their work and there isn't that person who brings up those crazy (serious) topics and turns around their day.

Journal # 9- Gamer's Day

There are a lot of gamers in the world and they deserve to have a holiday where we get shown some respect, stores offer low prices on video games and we enjoy our self's by pulling a 2 day gaming madness with our friends in front of the biggest T.V you can find and we drink energy drinks and munch on chips, snacks, and candy while playing videogames. The date of this holiday would always be on the 3rd weekend of June because by then everyone is out of school and has already rested enough to pull that magnificent all nighter and buy everything with discount. In addition to celebrating by playing, buying and not sleeping, companies should take their time to reveal their big games in  those two days to give hype and let us have something to talk about and speculate on their next title. Why would  this day be so important, well technology is changing our world and video games are part of it, being  able to create a world and put that world on a disk and then have millions of people playing around with that world is a an amazing concept that why Gamer's days should be celebrated as a day where we play videogames with our friends and we show some respect to this technology that only gets better.

Journal # 10 Best Advice-Enjoy Life

The single best piece of advice I have received was " Enjoy your life" which was given by my dad as I told him I was stressed out about school. Why is this the best advice I have gotten? Well because of those words I changed my lifestyle completely. I used to be a big nerdy boy, studies came first and then eating, sleeping or even socializing. I was living a school dedicated life and I knew I needed a change. After I was told to enjoy my life I spent more time with my friends, accepting to "hang out" with them and enjoying myself. I also started paying a bit less attention to school, being more free with myself, not doing one homework or maybe not studying hard enough for a test. By the end of the school year I felt different and of course more relax/happy, my mind was at ease now that I found the balance in my life. I started thinking how many others don't or can't enjoy their lives. How they are caught up with work, or with studies and they are slaves to themselves while they could be out somewhere conquering the world, like I was and still are. Because I still take for granted alot of things, as I stay in my comfort zone and don;t try new things. Yet how I perceive the world is much different from what it was before I got my dad's advice, now as a high school student being close to graduating and being thrown out into the real world I tried to live more by not caring about what others think and doing more unusual things. For now Ill try to break a bone or fracture something, when that happens I know I am living the right way.

Journal # 11- What and how are you going to achieve in life?

My main goal in life is setting up my own animation/video game/computer company and run it like no one else, having my employeers be more than just co-workers who work for a salary, create a team of people who are also interested in the satisfaction of the consumer and love what they do. Compete with other companies and take them down with pure innovation and hard work with excellent products that appeal to a great variety of costumers, leaving them satisfied with the product they just bought and wanting more. This would be a fair challenge to myself as my keep going until its done attitude will get me through the first struggling years of all starting companies. Starting from the ground up will determine the future of my achievement as my plan is to start right away trying to get my name out there in the internet possibly You Tube where most people start these days. After leaving my mark on You Tube I will got an Art Institute to learn animation and seek a team of people I can work swiftly with great end products. After that I will go into an University and learn business administration as I want to be my own boss and control my area of work when needed.

Journal # 12 My life-15 minutes

You see me wake up 5 minutes early before the alarm on my Ipod goes of still semi unconscious, not wanting to get out of bed as it is freezing in the morning and my blankets wrap me up so well. I make my mind and run to my closet  take some clothes out which are chosen at whatever I see first because, I am colorblind so I don't care much about matching. I hit the shower 20 minutes as always I stand there in the shower sleeping on the wall until the water changes from hot to super cold and it wakes me up, get out  fix up my curly hair, check if my beard is not too out of place and if it is I shave it so It doesn't look too messy. I then proceed to eat my breakfast which is usually pancakes. I walk towards my computer turn it on and check if I have an facebook updates or if there is anything funny on YouTube. Munching on my delightful breakfast as I finish it, going over the sink to leave my plate. Go to the bathroom and brush my teeth, get out and think "When will school be over, Im tired maybe Ill sleep a bit earlier today". I say "Good-bye" to my grandma and sister as I walk out the door freezing because I just got out of the shower.

Journal # 13 - Future college roommate

Hello I'm  Ken Kesey and Ill be your roommate for the next semesters. I have never had the  experience of living in the school dorms, nonetheless having a roommate to whom I need to adapt to and get to live and know. A bit about myself, I am an early bird so I might start making noise at 5 AM or a little bit later. I tend to be a sociable person and I won't get into any of your business, rest assure of that and also I'm a standard cook so I can manage breakfast and dinner(If I have the time). I'm going to be studying to become a video  game programmer and a business administrator meaning that there is going to be a lot of cables running all around my area of the room. I graduated from castle park high a nice school with outstanding staff and teachers I am proud of being a Trojan. I am latino from the city of Ensenada, I studied there for 4 years then moved here to Chula Vista.I've always had a great mind to set up stories and I love spending time on a computer and talking geek. Well this is all you need to know of me, let's get along for the rest of the year and if things do not work out then let's just keep at it until we can get changed.

Journal # 14 Money owns you!

"He does not posses wealth, it possesses him" I can see that this quote is directed to a man, a man with money maybe with some much money that greed has taken over him and now the money owns him. As it is essential to get money to keep living there is a point where it becomes too much. That wealth that is accumulated has taken away part of your life. Another thing I can think of is we never posses any money as it always leaves our hands, it comes and goes. We exchange it for other things and is not ours forever.
How we are living now with a poor economy going even lower, I can see how money and the more we have flowing improves our way of living. If our economy wasn't in this decaying position then more people would have jobs and the occupy wall street would not be happening right now. As of right now the situation we are going through is based around money, it is hard to believe how that piece of paper controls my life and that of others.

Journal # 15- Cool leader

I had always pictured myself as the leader of my team in college if we get to have some sort of group project. I am pretty good at managing and doing leader type jobs so being the head of something is not a problem.  Having to solve the issues presented to me at any given time would be addressed as soon as possible being that when it comes to work I tend to get important things out of the way first. Improving the campus, searching for what things to change, what we need more of, understanding what the students there need to have more of or less of. Having opening speeches in the first day of college and certain graduations to inspire and add to what the college has to offer. Over all increasing the quality of the campus would be my priority, being some sort of leader or manager in that place.

Journal # 16- That one scary rollercoaster

When I was younger I used to live in Ensenada which is south of Tijuana, about 30 or 40 minutes (drive). Well it was that time of the year when they set up El Carnaval which is a huge fiesta type of thing where you go and dance, drink, hear music, pass my a thousand people and have a nice time. Well there is also a theme park that get set up near by and I can still remember the sound that yellow colored rollercoaster made. It was the second time I had seen one and maybe even rode one. Ill clarify I am not afraid of heights but when I get to the top I do get a bit scared. Well my mom and sisters wanted to go on the yellow rollercoaster and as you can guess I was soo afraid. I made myself hard to drag and my mom was getting annoyed. I ended up not riding the rollercoaster that time. But as I finished all the other smaller rides and games I always ended up infront of that coaster. So I asked my mom if we could ride it. She said " Que no le tienes MIEDO?" and for snizzle I was afraid but my curiosity was bigger so I got on the ride and as soon as it locked I told myself "Its OVER! I can't leave now".
What happened next was the best minute or 2 of my life. It was amazing, the drop and the quick turn I was having a blast. After I got off I wanted to go on it again and so we did. Moral of the story I learn that trying scary things may end up in a great experience.

Journal # 17- Personal Issue-Not trying enough/Life decisions

I have been noticing for the past 2 or 3 years that I am an underachiever, I had an opportunity to be in IB and I ran out of there the first day. I also had the opportunity to skip a year and then again I declined , with my grades and the effort I was putting in school back them I could be out of highschool and having a semester of University already done. My decision of not skipping those grades leave me thinking now where would I be. I have the brains to get to places, get the schoolarships but I just do not feel motivated to do so.If I had not stop putting as much effort I know pretty well I can wipe all competition that's for sure. I may be an underachiever but when I get something in my mind that I have to do I go for it full speed, which is one of my best traits trying to hard for that, that I am passionate about. If its about fixing some electronic that I need to use but I lack the money to fix it I do it myself without any prior experience I work on that until I get it fixed. Or if all that is tried fails I work my way around things for my good or for others. Having taken those decisions in life now have me sitting with 4 great friends with which I tend to hang out alot( I have alot more friend but these guys are my MLG). If I had been moved those years I would have never met them. Yet that other side of me knows I would be in a better position maybe with some Interweb fame climbing to the top. With other friends, with different experiences yet I would have known my mind was not ready for that I would have thrown myself into the real world 2 years earlier, confronting the world with a much younger mind. My habit of being an underachiever has brought me much good to my life now I just need to know when to strike hard to get to where I need to go, something  simple probably conquer the world.

Journal # 18- 2 Things I would change of my school

First of all, to "most" of the office staff and ASB head..... get out of the school! NOW!
That is the first thing I would do kick them out and replace them for people who can do their job right. Well I would let the staff at the office stay do I have a grudge against the ASB, they are now making the school "uncool" in a way there is less freedom. For example now nobody can sell anything, chips, chocolates you name it. If someone sees you selling they take your things and money. I can see them running sting operations on students and busting open their locks as tons of chips and bottles of chile and chamoy fall from them. The school is becoming a bit more strict.
The second thing I would change from this school is, the food they give out during lunch and nutrition break. Ok, the muffins are good, the fruits are good, the bread sticks are good, the little cups with sliced peaches are great, yet the pizza and sometimes the hamburgers are in horrible shape in looks and taste. The pizza looks like the poured an extra liter of cooking oil ontop and the burgers well sometimes the bread is tough. If we could get a nicer pizza then I would be happier, they should have food like in elementry that food was the best!.

Journal # 19- School Attendance

Should school attendance be mandatory? I would say no, it should be a students decition and their parents whether or they wish to attend school. As it was in the around the 60's schools did not worry as much as they do now when a child didn't attend to school. Now they call our homes and if it get to a point where you are absent everyday they might even involve the police. Even though this is good as the education in America is declining , grades aren't so great and students tend to slack of after Highschool. Having an education increases your social skills and simulates a stressful environment which prepare someone for real life. Yet having to attend school is tedious I rather be working right now or doing something towards my career in mind. School would be better if we just took the classes we wanted for highschool and get those over with then move on to the university or college. Right now Im only thinking this state whise but if we where to have this all over the nation then we would see a rise in unemployment, debt, arrests, etc. Our country would be "DUMBER" in a sense of us not knowing our history or geometry. This is the land of the free yet I feel as that doesn't become true until im 18, as of now I have to go to a WORK like or jail like place, learn, and get good grades. It becomes an obligation that I never had an opinion on and makes me feel like ditching the whole place, just like many other must feel too.

Journal # 20-Talking to an animal

If I somehow ended up with the ability to talk to animals then I would go to a mental institute, stay there for a couple of month until it goes away or I get bored of being there, THEN I would start talking to dogs to find out what they think! I had plenty of pet dogs over the years of my existence and what intrigued me the most of them was why they were soo happy when they saw me or heard my voice. I would ask them if I am really that good of a person so be soo happy to see even though I just left for 10 minutes? Another thing I would as my dog is that if they like their food. I mean I have tried dog food before( huh who wasn't) and its alright some brands have a better taste than others but they seem to eat them anyway no matter the taste...... Sometimes they get bored of the food and I have to change it but do they like it?
As a final question I would ask them what is it like being a dog? Does the lack of responsibilities create a sense of true freedom. Just playing eating and sleeping and maybe guarding the house I would like to know their perspective of life and if the enjoy what they do and what we do to them keeping them as pets.
